Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid role).

What you will do

  • Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to provide practical privacy guidance.
  • Drive and manage improvement programs within the privacy operations function.
  • Improve operational processes for data subject rights, breach response, and records of processing.
  • Support Data Protection Impact Assessments and Transfer Impact Assessments.
  • Coordinate privacy compliance control checks relevant to payment services and financial crime.
  • Support the Deputy DPO in managing global privacy operations and regulatory engagements.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in privacy and data protection operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
  • Experience in the fintech or payments sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale improvement programs or projects.
  • Recognized data protection qualification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Ability to work in London, UK, with flexibility for global time zone collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Legal qualification (law degree or solicitor/barrister).
  • Familiarity with US privacy laws such as CCPA/CPRA.
