TL;DR

Sales Director: Financial Markets (SaaS): Drive new logo acquisition and expansion for SaaS solutions into financial services with an accent on selling to exchanges, fintechs, trading firms, and enterprise financial institutions. Focus on outbound prospecting, pipeline management, and translating technical networking/security value into business outcomes across complex, regulated buying cycles.

Location: Hybrid office / remote work environment; located anywhere in the continental United States (preference for major financial/market infrastructure hubs such as New York City, Chicago, Northern Virginia, or Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex).

What you will do

  • Drive top-line revenue through new customer acquisition and account expansion across banks, financial institutions, payment processors, fintechs, crypto/blockchain platforms, exchanges, and adjacent organizations.
  • Develop account acquisition and growth strategy with consistent quota-exceeding performance and a strong sales/customer experience.
  • Manage pipeline by creating outbound-generated opportunities and qualifying inbound leads.
  • Monitor competitor activity, buyer priorities, regulatory/security trends, and digital infrastructure initiatives to inform positioning, packaging/pricing, and roadmap decisions.
  • Report on sales performance, key customers, and market insights; provide product/proposition feedback to the broader organization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, partner forums, and customer meetings; travel as needed (domestic and international).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience selling SaaS, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or networking solutions into financial services/fintech/payments/capital markets or other regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and exchange ecosystem, including trading platforms, market infrastructure, payment systems, and operational requirements.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions around networking, latency, redundancy, high availability, failover, security, compliance, and low-latency connectivity architectures.
  • Familiarity with financial market technologies and protocols, market data distribution, colocation environments, and secure infrastructure connectivity models.
  • Proven success navigating complex enterprise buying cycles, procurement, security reviews, and multi-stakeholder sales motions.
  • Experience building and executing partner/co-sell motions (enabling ecosystem partners and driving partner-sourced pipeline).
