Lead Architect (Edge Computing)

TL;DR

Lead Architect (Edge Computing): Designing and implementing technical concepts and infrastructure for Edge computing customers with an accent on solution design, automation, and hardware evaluation. Focus on building scalable edge clusters, coordinating complex 3rd level environment activities, and mentoring technical teams.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Slovakia)

What you will do

• Act as the key technical contact for planning and creating technical concepts for Edge computing solutions.
• Design, implement, and support Edge computing components and applications according to quality standards.
• Prepare edge cluster designs and cabling plans, leading installations and steering multi-layer technical teams.
• Develop concepts and methods for automation, optimization, and standardization of IT services.
• Perform and improve complex 3rd level environment activities to meet relevant KPIs.
• Mentor junior colleagues and lead research and development in assigned technologies.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar architectural or technical lead role.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/Debian, SLES, or RedHat) and Unix shell scripting.
• Strong networking expertise (TCP/IP, routing, Firewall, DNS, WAN, VPN).
• Experience with KVM virtualization; knowledge of OpenStack or OpenShift is an advantage.
• Ability to evaluate server hardware builds and oversee system administration operations.
• English: C1 level required; German B1 is an advantage.
