What you will do

• Identify and organize microscale features within radar datasets.
• Process and prepare atmospheric data for machine learning model training.
• Evaluate and visualize model outputs using Python-based analytical tools.
• Participate in team discussions regarding storm behavior and model performance.
• Document research progress and assist in summarizing findings.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field.
• Basic familiarity with radar products.
• Prior coursework or project experience in machine learning or data science.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.

Nice to have

• Coursework or experience in radar meteorology or cloud seeding effects.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with data analysis libraries such as Py-ART, MetPy, or xarray.
• Prior research experience through REUs, lab work, or class projects.
