What you will do

• Design and implement a feasibility study using satellite imagery and geospatial tools to track economic indicators.
• Source and evaluate satellite imagery and telecom datasets for study areas.
• Execute spatial analysis to detect changes in agricultural patterns, infrastructure, and population movement.
• Develop reproducible code in Python or R for automated detection and quantification of landscape changes.
• Synthesize technical findings into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document methodology and define scope for potential future scaling of the project.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with satellite imagery analysis, GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS), and geospatial data interpretation.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for geospatial data processing.
• Ability to translate research hypotheses into technical geospatial proxies.
• Experience sourcing and evaluating open-source or cost-effective geospatial datasets.
