Accounting Intern

TL;DR

Accounting Intern (Finance): Supporting core accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general accounting tasks with an accent on month-end close activities and financial data reconciliation. Focus on improving process efficiency, maintaining data quality, and assisting the Accounting Manager with high-priority financial reporting and asset tracking.

Location: Must be based in El Segundo, CA (On-site)

What you will do

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable processes such as invoice entry, vendor maintenance, and document management.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and process cash receipts.
• Compile financial data and prepare recurring reports for internal stakeholders.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including tagging and tracking assets against the general ledger.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
