What you will do

• Design and build functional prototypes for UAS subsystems with rapid iteration cycles.
• Conceptualize and construct test fixtures for prototype components.
• Perform FEA studies including linear, dynamic, and thermal analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation and fabrication data for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams on system integration.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Solidworks.
• Experience with Solidworks FEA (Linear Static, Dynamic, Nonlinear, Thermal).
• Practical experience with 3D printing and basic manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Must be able to work on-site in El Segundo, CA.

Nice to have

• Sheet metal design and manufacturing experience.
• Proven track record of taking a product from conceptual to production stage.
