Operations Engineering Intern (Medtech)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Support continuous improvement projects to analyze and solve paper-based processes within the Acute Care Technology division.
• Assist in creating and implementing production tooling, line design, material, and process flows.
• Review and draft technical documentation, including Engineering Change Orders, drawings, and SOPs.
• Identify, design, and execute line layout and process improvements.
• Perform test functions on devices and equipment and provide data analysis and interpretation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS in Engineering, Technology, or a related STEM field.
• Expected graduation no sooner than May 2027.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Jose, CA for 12 months (at least 20 hrs/week).
• Basic experience with data analysis, methods, and graphing.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of statistics and software packages like MiniTab, Python, or R.
• Competence in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically SolidWorks.
• Experience with 3D printing.
• Familiarity with microscopes and measurement equipment.
