TL;DR
Senior Director, Global HEOR, Hemoglobinopathies (Biotechnology): Leading global health economics and outcomes research strategies and evidence generation for hemoglobinopathy assets across development, launch, and post-launch phases with an accent on outcomes research, health economic modeling, and market access. Focus on designing studies, developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, supporting health technology assessment submissions, and managing HEOR staff.

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid schedule allows remote work up to two days per week, or on-site work five days per week.

Base salary: $238,400–$357,600 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

  • Lead the HEOR strategy for hemoglobinopathy assets from early development through launch and post-launch lifecycle stages.
  • Serve as the HEOR disease-area lead and represent HEOR across cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Oversee evidence generation plans, outcomes research studies, cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and related deliverables, including work for Casgevy.
  • Integrate HEOR evidence into health technology assessment submissions and support access to marketed products across regions.
  • Apply best practices to the design, execution, analysis, and dissemination of HEOR studies while maintaining high research quality standards.
  • Manage HEOR staff responsible for hemoglobinopathy assets and collaborate with commercial, medical, clinical, and market access functions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree such as PhD, MD, Master's, MPH, or PharmD in a relevant discipline.
  • Typically 12 years of experience in health economics and outcomes research or a related field, including 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Extensive peer-reviewed publication record covering patient-reported outcomes, observational research, and health economic modeling.
  • Experience developing global HEOR strategies, executing studies, and understanding clinical development strategies and trial designs.
  • Strong communication, presentation, technical, analytical, and stakeholder management skills in complex matrixed environments.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical legal and regulatory environment, compliance, and research ethics.
