Salary: $142,000 — $156,000 USD

What you will do
- Lead the design and execution of tissue-based imaging assays including H&E, IHC, and spatial biology.
- Build image analysis workflows to extract multi-scale morpho-quantitative biomarkers.
- Partner with bioinformatics and AI/ML teams to refine quantitative image analysis and DPAI workflows.
- Collaborate with pathologists to oversee WSI annotation and generate high-quality datasets.
- Drive tumor phenotyping and quantitative analyses to characterize tumor, stromal, and immune cell populations.
- Guide operational deployment, validation, and scaling of analytical tools for CLIA/CAP regulated environments.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of postgraduate experience, with at least 3 years in a regulated industry preferred.
- Proven expertise in tissue staining assays, IHC, quantitative histopathology, and TME phenotyping.
- Hands-on experience with image analysis platforms like ImageJ/FIJI and digital pathology tools like QuPath or HALO.
- Proficiency in quantitative methods using Python or R.
- Must be able to work on-site in San Diego in a hybrid capacity.

- Prior experience in developing digital pathology AI solutions.
- Expertise in immune-oncology biology.
