What you will do

• Perform audit and examination procedures on-site at state agency locations.
• Conduct and review audit tests sufficient in scope to support professional opinions.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze data relevant to audits and examinations.
• Assist engagement teams in drafting audit reports and identifying relevant findings.
• Maintain productive working relationships with government employees and engagement teams.
• Apply technical competence and business acumen to resolve complex auditing challenges.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Must be based in or able to work in Washington, DC.
• CPA or CPA Candidate actively pursuing certification.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Previous experience within a local or state government entity (financial statement preparation or audit) is preferred.
