What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Lead architecture decisions for Lakehouse-based data platforms using Apache Iceberg.
• Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow and DBT for transformations.
• Maintain real-time pipelines with Kafka and process large-scale data via Databricks.
• Implement data quality frameworks, observability, and automated testing.
• Partner with BI, product, and engineering teams to deliver actionable data solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Expertise in Apache Airflow, DBT, and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with streaming pipelines (Kafka) and ingestion tools (Fivetran).
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, Apache Iceberg, and the AWS ecosystem (Athena, EC2, S3).
• Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience enabling AI/GenAI use cases on analytics platforms.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools for automating pipelines and QA.
• Familiarity with self-service BI tools such as ThoughtSpot.
• Knowledge of data governance, cataloging, and lineage systems.
