Cloud Architect (SaaS)

TL;DR

Cloud Architect (SaaS): Strategic direction of a cloud-based product portfolio for geodata platforms with an accent on modern cloud-based architecture and technical convergence. Focus on evaluating architectural patterns, improving scalability and performance, and aligning implementations with the global architectural vision.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in or be able to work from the Toronto, Calgary, or Delft offices (minimum 2 days per week).

What you will do

• Contribute to the strategic direction of the cloud-based product portfolio, specifically the Evo SaaS geodata platform.
• Propose and refine architectural patterns and technical selections aligned with the Global Architecture strategy.
• Evaluate team architectures and APIs to ensure alignment with the corporate vision.
• Collaborate with hyperscale cloud providers and technology vendors to identify best practices and strategic opportunities.
• Work with assigned product teams to foster architectural and technical convergence.
• Partner with customers and external organisations on platform-level technology integrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an architect for large-scale SaaS providers or cloud hyper-scalers.
• 5+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Proven problem-solving and lateral thinking abilities at the Platform or System Architecture level.
• Experience improving scalability, availability, and performance within cloud environments.
• Track record of developing and communicating architectural strategies for global SaaS solutions.
• Strong inter-team collaboration and communication skills.
