What you will do

• Architect and evolve the React Native application for environments with limited or unreliable connectivity.
• Design offline-first storage and synchronization patterns, including conflict resolution strategies.
• Define and optimize WebSocket reliability and data synchronization across degraded network conditions.
• Drive performance improvements in network efficiency, package size, and memory consumption.
• Shape mobile development tooling, code organization, and testing infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers on mobile architecture and contribute to the open-source codebase.

Requirements

• Proven experience with React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (HTTP, WebSockets, connection lifecycles).
• Experience with offline-first design, local persistence, and sync strategies.
• Familiarity with native iOS and/or Android development.
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information (EAR/ITAR).

Nice to have

• Background in defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure products.
• Experience with reactive programming (RxJS) or mobile databases (WatermelonDB).
• Familiarity with the Expo framework and migration from bare React Native.
• Demonstrable AI fluency and experience with evolving AI tooling.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
