TL;DR
Mobile Frontend Developer (Swift + React Native) (Mobile Applications): Building and maintaining native iOS and cross-platform mobile applications with an accent on Swift, React Native, Expo, and pixel-perfect Figma implementation. Focus on managing the iOS app lifecycle, configuring EAS deployments, integrating native modules, and solving production performance issues.
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (Remote)
Compensation: $5–9/hour

What you will do
- Build and maintain native iOS applications with Swift and cross-platform applications with React Native and Expo.
- Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-ready mobile interfaces.
- Manage the iOS app lifecycle, including builds, testing, TestFlight, and Apple App Store publishing.
- Configure Expo builds, EAS, and deployment workflows, including native module integration.
- Collaborate with backend and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Debug production bugs, improve performance, and contribute to architecture and technical decisions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with React Native and Expo, including EAS builds and deployment.
- Strong experience with Swift and the ability to build real features in native iOS.
- Proven experience submitting and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store.
- Knowledge of provisioning profiles, certificates, TestFlight, and App Store review guidelines.
- Experience converting Figma designs into production-ready mobile UI and using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, adaptable, ownership-driven startup mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript, backend development, Go, or Android and Google Play Store submissions.
- Familiarity with performance optimization and mobile security best practices.
- Experience working in early-stage startups.
