TL;DR

Lead Electrical Engineer (Logistics): Leading the design, coordination, and delivery of complex electrical building systems for the business sector and logistics practice with an accent on technical leadership and quality oversight. Focus on solving advanced engineering problems, mentoring junior staff, and serving as the Engineer of Record.

Location: Lenexa, KS and Kansas City, MO. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

  • Lead electrical engineering design from concept to completion for large-scale projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop solutions to advanced engineering problems and provide discipline-wide technical guidance.
  • Mentor and coach designers and engineers across teams and practices.
  • Conduct final quality reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy and professional accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural engineering.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred (required for EOR).
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and applicable electrical design codes and standards.
  • Experience within the MEP/Construction industry.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

  • Additional technical certifications such as RCDD, NICET, CPD, LEED, or WELL.
