TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Lenexa, KS or Philadelphia, PA and be legally authorized to work in the United States

What you will do

  • Design basic to intermediate building systems and perform necessary engineering calculations.
  • Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and project reports.
  • Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Research system feasibility and evaluate products for specific applications.
  • Collaborate on business development and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Coordinate project delivery, managing scope, schedules, and client communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering with 3+ years of experience (or 6+ years with high school diploma).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Intermediate knowledge of A&E industry codes, design guides, and standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have

  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Technical certifications such as BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, or RCDD.
  • Sustainability accreditations including LEED or WELL.
