What you will do

• Design the interface for Piper's AI brain, focusing on how the agent understands leads, forms plans, and explains its reasoning.
• Create the conversational presence for AI reps, including live chat and video experiences.
• Optimize micro-interactions, latency handling, and turn-taking to avoid the uncanny valley.
• Build prototypes using code and AI tools to validate design decisions quickly.
• Collaborate directly with engineering and ML teams to define new design patterns for autonomous agents.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years focused on AI or conversational experiences.
• Deep understanding of LLM behaviors, including latency, streaming, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in using AI tooling as a core part of the professional design workflow.
• Strong visual and interaction craft with a focus on taste and execution.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Background in voice, video, or real-time communication design.
• Familiarity with enterprise sales or CRM workflows.
• Experience designing multi-step autonomous workflows.
