Principal Product Designer (AI/Mental Health): Leading design strategy and execution for complex product surfaces with an accent on strategic vision, behavioral design, and AI-integrated experiences. Location: Must permanently reside in the US full-time. Remote within the US or Hybrid in San Francisco (3 days/week in office).

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 + equity

What you will do

• Lead design strategy and execution for complex consumer and B2B product areas, ensuring high interaction quality and visual craft.
• Define long-term design vision and partner with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to embed design thinking early in the lifecycle.
• Conduct comprehensive design research, including generative studies, concept testing, and usability evaluations.
• Apply behavioral design principles to create experiences that support habit formation and reduce friction.
• Integrate AI-powered tools and design AI-driven product experiences that feel natural and human-centered.
• Mentor and elevate designers across levels through critiques and sharing craft expertise.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in human-centered product design.
• Must permanently reside in the US full-time.
• Exceptional visual design expertise and deep understanding of motion design principles.
• Demonstrated AI fluency, actively using LLM-assisted research and prototyping workflows.
• Strong proficiency in iOS and Android interface standards and Figma.
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align design decisions with company goals.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in emerging technologies or AI-driven product spaces.
• Experience in healthcare or digital health, specifically focusing on health behavior change.
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary workshops to foster creativity.
• Experience contributing to and working within scalable design systems.
