What you will do

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and launch of complex, global-scale systems for commercial clients.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from user story generation through automated testing and operational support.
• Implement and operate Kubernetes clusters using EKS and helm charts within AWS.
• Automate infrastructure using GitOps and IaC tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation, and CDK.
• Diagnose and resolve production Kubernetes incidents at the node and kernel level in Linux environments.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to apply best practices and maintain high code quality through peer reviews.

Requirements

• Must reside within 100 miles of Alexandria, VA or Philadelphia, PA.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software, Data, or DevOps Engineer, including 3+ years with AWS.
• Deep Linux proficiency and experience building enterprise-scale applications with Kubernetes.
• AWS Associate-level certification (must be obtained within 12 months of start date).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Spring Boot, or the Cloudera stack (Spark, Hive, Kafka).
• Financial services industry experience or familiarity with regulated data environments.
• Experience with authentication/authorization and developing on MacOS X.
