TL;DR
DevSecOps Engineer (AWS/Azure): Driving the implementation of automated security controls and secure software delivery for a Federal Law Enforcement Program with an accent on CI/CD pipelines and zero-trust goals. Focus on embedding security into hybrid cloud environments and ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP standards.
Location: Hybrid in Winchester, VA. U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions).
Salary: $120k–$170k

What you will do
- Enhance the developer experience by maintaining tools and processes to sustain development cadence.
- Support CI/CD efforts to ensure secure and efficient code delivery.
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to implement secure configurations and hardened baselines.
- Deploy and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for system visibility and traceability.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security standards, including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP.
- Develop incident response protocols and associated playbooks.
Requirements
- Current active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, cloud, or cybersecurity engineering.
- Strong proficiency in DevSecOps principles, CI/CD automation, and secure development.
- Experience with AWS (preferred) and/or Azure cloud environments and IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Nice to have
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile collaboration.
- Prior experience supporting law enforcement or Department of Justice (DOJ) customers.
