What you will do

• Design pulsed power electronics, including high-voltage energy storage, switching, and delivery circuits.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of electronic safe and arm devices (ESADs) and safety-critical hardware.
• Develop redundant, fault-tolerant initiation and firing circuits with deterministic performance.
• Integrate AFTS hardware with avionics, GNC, flight software, and systems engineering teams.
• Perform circuit and system-level modeling and analysis to validate timing and reliability.
• Execute qualification, environmental, and flight test plans, and perform root cause failure analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing pulsed power, high-voltage, or firing systems for aerospace or defense.
• Strong background in energy storage and high-speed/high-current switching.
• Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and operation in extreme environments.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance.
