TL;DR

Director of Workforce Partnerships (Manufacturing): Designing and managing external training strategies and institutional partnerships to build a scalable talent pipeline for autonomous factories with an accent on community college and university relations. Focus on creating a framework for external vs internal training and aligning educational curricula with technical manufacturing standards.

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, CA or Mesa, AZ. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (ITAR requirements).

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain a framework to determine whether training needs are met internally or through external partners.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of partnerships with community colleges, universities, trade schools, and veteran programs.
  • Own the long-term talent pipeline strategy across all geographic markets, including non-traditional pathways.
  • Review and approve curricula for outsourced training programs to ensure they meet technical and behavioral benchmarks.
  • Establish success metrics for partner relationships and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Represent the company in MOU negotiations and ongoing relationship management with institutional leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in workforce development, partner success, or educational program management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with educational institutions and navigating institutional bureaucracy.
  • Background in instructional design, curriculum review, or training operations.
  • Track record of building or significantly growing a partnership function.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or ITAR eligibility is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with workforce development grants, government funding, or public-private partnerships.
  • Deep familiarity with community college systems and dual-enrollment programs.
  • Experience in advanced or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Background working in fast-scaling companies.
