What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, policy think tanks, and research partners in the region.
• Design and lead empirical research on AI's economic effects, including labor market transformation and productivity.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the Anthropic Economic Index.
• Translate complex research insights into actionable recommendations for policy discussions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams to improve measurement infrastructure and data collection.
• Amplify research impact through publications, policy briefs, and stakeholder presentations.

Requirements

• PhD in Economics is required.
• Strong track record of empirical research using frontier methods in causal inference and machine learning.
• Demonstrated experience working with regional academic, policy, and industry communities.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for large-scale data analysis.
• Ability to lead complex research projects from conception to publication.
• Must be based in London, UK or willing to work from the London office.
