Senior Data Scientist (GenAI/LLM)

What you will do

• Lead data science initiatives from problem framing through deployment, monitoring, iteration, and ongoing model maintenance.
• Design and build LLM-powered solutions for document processing, intelligent search, content understanding, and operational automation.
• Develop pricing models, demand and propensity signals, marketing optimisation models, and personalised recommendations for web and CRM.
• Prototype ideas, define success metrics, run experiments, and make evidence-based decisions about scaling or stopping solutions.
• Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering, and Operations teams to translate business problems into production-ready solutions.
• Improve data science standards, documentation, AI adoption, and mentoring for more junior team members.

Requirements

• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect models to revenue, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
• Experience working with commercial, marketing, and product stakeholders and communicating technical findings clearly.
• Production experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in Python beyond notebook environments.
• Experience with full-lifecycle ML delivery, including training, versioning, monitoring, and champion/challenger experimentation.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating LLM-powered solutions with measurable business value.
• Strong statistical evaluation, experiment design, software engineering, cloud ML, version control, code review, testing, and containerisation skills.

• Marketplace or two-sided platform experience.
• Experience with Vertex AI.
