What you will do

• Lead design for smaller project scopes and serve as the primary designer for specific systems or levels on larger capital projects.
• Coordinate structural systems with other trades (MEP, Architectural, Civil) and resolve conflicts with existing field conditions.
• Produce high-quality construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and structural details.
• Propose creative solutions to structural constraints and present technical findings to project leads and clients.
• Perform field surveys of existing conditions to inform renovation or retrofit designs.
• Oversee and mentor junior designers, conducting rigorous back-checks to ensure 100% accuracy.

Requirements

• Extensive modeling and drafting experience utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in Navisworks and Bluebeam for clash detection and coordination.
• Deep understanding of structural systems, building codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to estimate labor hours and break down projects into granular tasks for management.
• Strong communication skills to clarify direction and move projects forward independently.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in South Burlington, USA.
