TL;DR

Data Science & Analytics Technical Lead (AI): Leading the design and delivery of enterprise data, analytics, and AI capabilities for SOCOM with an accent on mission-focused solution delivery and model governance. Focus on operationalizing predictive and prescriptive analytics in contested, disconnected, and classified environments.

Location: Tampa, FL (MacDill AFB). Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and be a US citizen. CONUS and OCONUS travel required.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of AI and analytics capabilities across the SOF enterprise.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle from problem framing and model development to operational deployment and sustainment.
• Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics to structured and unstructured data to generate mission-relevant intelligence.
• Design data visualization solutions to communicate complex analytic results to senior leadership.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and establish enterprise standards for model governance and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed AI-enabled capabilities into production systems and mission workflows.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or AI/ML development.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams within DoD, IC, or SOF environments.
• Strong programming experience in Python and/or R and familiarity with ML frameworks.
• Experience delivering AI solutions from concept through operational deployment in mission-critical environments.

Nice to have

• Experience managing SOF digital capabilities or enterprise analytics initiatives.
• Expertise in AI experimentation in environments with constrained infrastructure or disconnected operations.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices for deploying analytics solutions.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid distributed computing platforms.
