Location: Remote or in-person in New York City; Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and work mostly East Coast hours.

Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 annually

What you will do

• Build and maintain end-to-end modeling pipelines, improving reliability, data quality checks, and model diagnostics.
• Develop models and perform feature engineering to enhance polling methodology and evaluate performance in non-standard contexts.
• Translate statistical outputs into actionable strategic guidance for internal stakeholders and campaigns.
• Scope technical needs and ship solutions in collaboration with engineers, statisticians, and political analysts.
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in the political landscape to inform modeling decisions and identify anomalies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in data science, ML engineering, or research science, or equivalent depth from a PhD program.
• Proficiency in Python and R for codebase navigation and implementation.
• Strong data-wrangling experience, including SQL and relational databases.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
• Ability to align with East Coast working hours.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical results for non-technical strategic stakeholders.

• Experience with Bayesian or hierarchical models.
