Data Operations Technical Lead (AI): Building and sustaining enterprise data infrastructure to enable analytics and AI capabilities across the SOF enterprise with an accent on data engineering, integration, and data operations. Location: Tampa, FL (MacDill AFB). Active TS/SCI clearance required. CONUS and OCONUS travel required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and sustainment of enterprise data architectures and pipelines for large-scale AI/ML model training and deployment.
• Establish enterprise data management frameworks, including data governance, quality, and metadata management.
• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and dissemination processes to ensure reliability and scalability across distributed environments.
• Develop ETL processes, APIs, and scalable pipeline architectures across cloud, hybrid, and classified environments.
• Guide DevSecOps and CI/CD practices for the automated and secure deployment of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with SOF data leaders and stakeholders to translate mission needs into scalable data engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing digital projects in support of SOF Enterprise customers.
• Proven experience supporting data pipelines for AI/ML workflows and leading data operations teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow, NiFi, Spark, and Kafka.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud, hybrid, or containerized data platforms.
• Knowledge of APIs and microservices-based data services.
• Experience supporting advanced AI or large-scale data processing workloads with high throughput.
• Experience managing SOF agile development and data operations processes.
