What you will do

• Perform high-throughput chemical synthesis of small molecules using automated platforms.
• Design and execute build-test DOE protocols for automated chemical synthesis.
• Develop and deploy integrated workflows to expedite the transition from hit identification to lead optimization.
• Manage the handling of chemicals, air-sensitive materials, and rapid dispensing techniques.
• Troubleshoot instrument and automation errors following detailed standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support projects across life and physical sciences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or MS degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical/Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA, USA.
• Over 1 year of industrial wet lab experience, including pipetting and sample preparation.
• Hands-on experience in small molecule synthesis and familiarity with automation.
• Experience handling acids, bases, and organics within fume hoods and glovebox conditions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with nanoparticles.
• Experience in high-throughput production environments focused on scalability and efficiency.
• Basic engineering skills for troubleshooting synthesis tools (centrifuges, annealers, etc.).
• Ability to operate and generate custom scripts for automated workflows.
• Experience with characterization methods for analyzing morphology and chemical compositions.
