Salary: 110,000 – 140,000 CAD

What you will do

• Implement gameplay and core game systems to meet high-quality product goals.
• Create and improve development pipelines, tools, and technical documentation.
• Maintain gameplay systems and events with a focus on performance and developer usability.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to build complex systems such as save/load and level streaming.
• Participate in frequent playtesting and integrate feedback from internal and external Quality Assurance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Scripter or Technical Designer.
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine and Blueprints.
• 2+ years of experience specifically with Unreal Engine 5.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++, LUA, or Python.
• Proven experience as a Scripter or Technical Designer on a shipped title.
• Must be located in a US state or Canadian province where hirify.global is registered for remote employment.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Technical Designer through the full development cycle of a shipped AAA game.
• Experience designing global gameplay systems (seamless travel, quests, loot, save systems).
• Extensive experience playing shooter and action games (e.g., Call of Duty, Halo, Cyberpunk 2077).
• Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field.
