Salary: CAD 75,700 – 112,060 per year

hirify.global Sports Lab is a new standalone studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sports game development to create a groundbreaking new franchise.

What you will do

  • Act as the Product Owner for large features related to hour-to-hour gameplay.
  • Prototype and iterate designs based on target player research and competitive landscape analysis.
  • Lead the design vision for specific game areas in collaboration with Engineers, Animators, Artists, and Producers.
  • Translate high-level vision into detailed feature designs and coordinate with QA to drive experience testing.
  • Manage, groom, and prioritize the feature backlog to ensure quality and progress.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Systems Designer in the AAA gaming space.
  • Strong passion for sports and sports video games.
  • Proven track record of mentoring other designers.
  • Expertise in systemic design and creating player-driven or emergent narratives.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Vancouver/Burnaby, BC location.
