Senior Python Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland; Limassol, Cyprus; or Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Develop and maintain internal Python services, tools, REST APIs, automation scripts, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Design AI agents, multi-step agent flows, prompt-driven automation, and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Build AI-powered features for data processing, document analysis, classification, anomaly detection, workflow automation, and decision support.
• Integrate LLMs, AI platforms, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, MCP servers, APIs, databases, notifications, and approval workflows.
• Develop integrations with financial platforms, payment providers, reporting tools, Jira, Confluence, Okta, Slack, AWS, and other enterprise systems.
• Implement CI/CD and automated testing, troubleshoot production issues, and improve performance, observability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer or AI Engineer.
• Strong Python proficiency, including asynchronous programming and REST API development; experience with FastAPI, FastMCP, Flask, or Django.
• Production or near-production experience with LLM APIs, AI platforms, AI agent workflows, tool calling, prompt design, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, structured outputs, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Strong experience with API integrations, authentication, OAuth2, webhooks, retries, rate limits, secure data exchange, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with financial data processing, reconciliation, reporting automation, transaction monitoring, and risk or compliance controls.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding, secrets management, access control, and secure data handling.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes deployments, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating Jira, Okta, and Slack APIs.
• Familiarity with ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Understanding of AI mathematics and algorithms, fintech compliance, or regulated environments.
