What you will do
- Lead the development and delivery of the Change for Children strategy.
- Oversee the effective stewardship and distribution of approximately £50m in annual grant funding.
- Drive strategic partnerships with government, sector partners, and academia to maximize organizational impact.
- Ensure evidence, insight, and learning inform all funding approaches and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to shape the organization's overall direction and culture.
- Represent the organization externally to improve practice and shape public understanding of issues affecting children.
Requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience in the charitable or public sectors.
- Strong experience in strategic grant-making and impact management at a senior level.
- Proven ability to oversee significant funding budgets with strong governance and value for money.
- Deep understanding of issues affecting children and young people across the UK.
- Experience working effectively with Boards, Committees, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have
- Understanding of the UK funding and grant-making landscape.
- Experience working within or alongside media, communications, or public engagement organizations.
- Knowledge of policy and public affairs relating to children and young people in the UK.
