Location: Hybrid (Milton Keynes, UK). Must be able to attend the office at least once per month
Salary: £47,389 to £56,535 pro-rata

What you will do
- Act as the university's disciplinary authority to rule on cases where students have breached the Academic Conduct Policy.
- Investigate suspected misconduct and apply appropriate penalties, warnings, or cautions based on the Academic Misconduct Tariff.
- Educate referred students by explaining policy breaches and providing resources to improve their academic practice.
- Promote good academic practice and the use of plagiarism detection software within the Faculty of Business and Law.
- Collaborate with module chairs, tutors, and the ACO group to benchmark decisions and improve university-wide practice.
- Ensure all investigation outcomes are accurately recorded in the VOICE student database system.
Requirements
- Degree or Graduate Qualification in Law or Business.
- Experience conducting investigations of a disciplinary nature, preferably in a regulated context.
- Demonstrable understanding of academic integrity within a Higher Education Institution (HEI) context.
- Ability to manage a dynamic workload and meet strict performance standards and SLAs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to handle emotive student interactions professionally and constructively.
- Contractual alignment to the Milton Keynes office with required periodic attendance.
Nice to have
- Practical experience resolving academic conduct cases within or another HEI.
- Familiarity with scholarship on teaching, learning, assessment, and the impact of GenAI on academic integrity.
