What you will do

• Develop and ship backend features for the Driver Squad, from discovery through to deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize last-metre navigation and smart routing to reduce emissions and improve delivery efficiency.
• Implement telemetry systems to analyze and influence driver behavior.
• Build tooling for detecting and tracing lost parcels to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Operations teams to refine system requirements and prioritize impact.
• Maintain production services and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from London, UK.
• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience, including exposure to distributed systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• Proficiency in at least one typed backend language.
• Experience designing and running production services on AWS (preferred) and using relational databases.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Go, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Exposure to logistics, mobility or operational-domain systems.
• Evidence of self-directed learning, such as personal projects or open source contributions.
