TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer II (Backend): Designing and optimizing the Decision Engine's insight-to-production pipeline with an accent on reducing system complexity and improving developer experience. Focus on remodeling core platform components, leading multi-quarter technical initiatives, and ensuring high reliability for distributed data-intensive flows.
Location: Hybrid (Tel Aviv, Israel). Must be based near the Tel Aviv hub and able to work from the office at least three days per week.

What you will do
- Lead multi-quarter, team-scoped projects to transform how engine changes are built, validated, and shipped.
- Remodel key parts of the Decision Engine and its tooling to simplify workflows and reduce operational toil.
- Own critical engine platform components such as validation, fault detection, and developer tools.
- Translate ambiguous engine-level problems into clear technical plans, milestones, and execution strategies.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and technical guidance to raise the team's engineering bar.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building backend systems in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
- Proven experience as a technical lead for substantial, multi-quarter projects.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or Go.
- Deep familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with high-scale production systems, specifically data-intensive flows or distributed data stores.
- Must be located in or near Tel Aviv to support a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days/week in office).

- Experience improving team productivity through CI/CD, build systems, or internal developer platforms.
