Core Data - Big Data Engineer

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid work with regular in-office collaboration and the ability to work partially from home

What you will do

• Design and implement complex, high-scale systems that retrieve, process, and analyze digital data.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to solve complex data challenges and bring algorithms into production.
• Improve code infrastructure and data pipelines while identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks.
• Experiment with machine learning and big data processing technologies.
• Build and maintain monitoring infrastructure for reliable data ingestion and calculation.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software or data engineering development experience.
• Professional experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Git.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication, ownership, prioritization, and independent collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and productizing complex big data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Parquet, Databricks, or EMR.
