TL;DR

Assistant Customer Technical Representative (DoD IT): Providing first-line IT support for Program Office staff within a Navy/DoD environment with an accent on NMCI operational issues and hardware/software maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting network connectivity, managing user access (NIPR/SIPR), and executing technology refresh activities.

Location: Must be based in San Diego, CA (On-site 5 days/week at NAVWAR)

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Serve as the first line of support for on-site and remote staff, including Active Duty and civilian personnel.
  • Resolve day-to-day software, hardware, and NMCI operational issues, including maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests and oversee changes to existing NMCI devices and services.
  • Troubleshoot network, telework, VPN, and video call issues for end-users.
  • Assist users with SAAR-N, SIPRNET tokens, and other IT system access forms.
  • Inventory and track licenses, computers, and Wi-Fi devices issued to personnel.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • 3+ years of experience as an ACTR or IT support in a Navy/DoD environment.
  • Experience with NMCI (NIPRNet and SIPRNet) account management and technical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work on-site at NAVWAR 5 days per week during core business hours.
