What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain complex software packages on multiple Linux-based HPC systems.
• Provide direct technical support by resolving user-submitted ServiceNow tickets for the assigned application portfolio.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application failures, including library dependencies and driver conflicts.
• Test and validate application functionality during system maintenance, OS upgrades, and new deployments.
• Deploy software patches and updates to address bugs and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and external software vendors to resolve application-related issues.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience in an HPC environment.
• Active DoD 8570/IAT-II Certification.
• Experience installing and managing software in a Linux/UNIX command-line environment.
• Proficiency with shell scripting in a Linux environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing application-level issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB in an HPC context.
• Experience compiling applications from source code (make, CMake) for GPU-enabled codes using CUDA or KOKKOS.
• Familiarity with HPC schedulers (PBS, SLURM), interconnects (InfiniBand), and Cray EX architectures.
• Experience with HPC package managers (Spack) and version control systems (GitLab).
• Experience supporting scientific applications such as Tecplot, FieldView, or Pointwise.
