Location: Hybrid work, team members based near key hubs are expected to work from the office at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient systems that handle high-volume data.
• Lead projects from concept to production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and financial integrity.
• Work on data-driven initiatives that improve system performance, efficiency, and billing accuracy.
• Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to navigate technical trade-offs that directly affect hirify.global's bottom line.
• Use AI coding tools as a natural part of how you work, reviewing, guiding, and improving AI-generated code.
• Help foster best practices and maintain a high standard of engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining production systems.
• Strong backend fundamentals; Python is our primary language.
• Proven experience owning systems in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance and reliability improvements.
• Familiar with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, deployment pipelines, observability, and quality assurance (unit, integration testing).
• Experience with AWS and storage at scale (MySQL, Snowflake, Redis).
• A proactive attitude and a passion for providing technical solutions that bring an immediate business impact and ensure engineering excellence.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using industry-standard frameworks like Airflow, Kafka, Delta Lake, etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Background in billing / ERP systems.
