Systems Engineer – SD-WAN & SD-Branch (Enterprise)

Location: Remote role covering Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and Southern California, USA

Salary: $131,000–$170,000 base pay annually, plus potential bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support sales teams, channel partners, and enterprise customers with technical pre-sales expertise.
• Architect and design VeloCloud SD-WAN, Arista SD-Branch, campus, wireless, and security solutions.
• Translate WAN requirements into network designs, statements of work, bills of materials, and support arrangements.
• Lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and customer conversations.
• Run proofs of concept and hands-on field trials to validate proposed solutions.
• Provide technical training, handle customer escalations, and share product feedback with Engineering and Product Management.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of pre-sales experience with data center, campus, WAN, or cloud technologies.
• Experience supporting sales calls, presenting technical solutions, performing demonstrations, and managing PoCs or field trials.
• Expertise in at least three areas including LAN switching, IPSec, IP routing, TCP/IP, VxLAN, EVPN, multicast, QoS, or SD-WAN.
• Knowledge of cloud routing in AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Arista EOS and CloudVision.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with enterprise customers, channel partners, and sales teams.

Nice to have

• Python scripting, REST API, or Ansible automation experience.
• Experience with Arista campus switches, WiFi, and security solutions.
• Network industry certification.
