TL;DR

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $130,000 - $175,000

What you will do

  • Execute end-to-end integration of metal AM machines, peripherals, and cell infrastructure into the production system.
  • Lead FAT and SAT for all incoming PBF-LB systems and define scalable machine acceptance criteria.
  • Develop system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and integration kits across multiple OEMs.
  • Manage reliability engineering programs, including PM strategies, MTBF/MTTR tracking, and structured root cause analysis.
  • Implement hardware and firmware modifications to improve build envelope utilization, stability, and throughput.
  • Own standard work for machine operation, safety interlocks, and training to ensure readiness for regulated audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing systems engineering or factory-scale integration.
  • Deep technical knowledge of metal LPBF machine architecture and key subsystems (optics, motion, gas flow, etc.).
  • Experience reading and maintaining P&IDs for process utility systems.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for ITAR compliance).
  • Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a related engineering field.
  • Experience deploying automation and safety interlocks in production manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing OEM relationships for commissioning across multiple platforms.
