What you will do

• Lead and mentor senior software and infrastructure engineering teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
• Partner with Product Management to align team objectives and translate business requirements into actionable engineering plans.
• Oversee agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Promote engineering best practices such as observability, automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Contribute hands-on to the design, development, and troubleshooting of services within a VoIP/real-time communications environment.
• Lead cross-functional incident response and root cause analysis to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software, infrastructure, or SRE roles within production environments.
• Proven track record of leading, managing, and developing remote or distributed engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Python or Elixir and solid understanding of software development best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and Git workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be based in the US, Canada, or Medellin, Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time communications technologies like FreeSWITCH, SIP, or WebRTC.
• Exposure to Elixir and Phoenix frameworks.
• Background in CCaaS, UCaaS, or high-growth engineering environments.
