What you will do

• Design and maintain themes, templates, and app extensions using Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Engineer complex checkout and pricing logic using Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility.
• Optimize performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals to ensure high conversion rates and fast load times.
• Configure Shopify Markets for multi-region catalogs, currencies, and internationalization.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to maintain high code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with design and growth teams to iterate on user funnels and improve average order value.

Requirements

• 8+ years of web development experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to Shopify.
• Expert proficiency in Liquid, Online Store 2.0, and Shopify CLI.
• Deep understanding of Shopify APIs, App Bridge, and headless implementations (Hydrogen/Remix or Next.js).
• Strong background in React, Node.js, and modern TypeScript.
• Must be based in Colombia, Argentina, or Brazil.
• Spanish proficiency (B2 level) is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing, feature flagging, and ERP/PIM integrations.
• Background in building custom private Shopify apps with OAuth.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress.
