Salary: $163,200 – $224,400

What you will do

• Develop and apply ML & LLMs to capture the complete patient journey from unstructured medical notes.
• Own the lifecycle of critical datasets from scoping through validation, productionization, and delivery.
• Collaborate with oncologists and research scientists to validate model performance and scientific insights.
• Define requirements for training and evaluation datasets and maintain software pipelines.
• Work with software engineers to scale, productionize, and monitor AI models.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an applied data scientist or in a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in Python (including pandas, polars) and SQL.
• Experience working in a production environment using formal version control.
• Ability to analyze AI system quality and communicate improvements to stakeholders.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New York office.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data and clinical research.
• Knowledge of ML bias and health equity analysis.
• Experience with dbt or other ETL frameworks.
• Background in deep learning and traditional NLP methods.
