Salary: $200,000 - $245,000

What you will do

• Design and evolve core algorithms that power Garner's provider evaluation and recommendation systems.
• Translate complex healthcare and business constraints into optimization problems and scoring systems.
• Develop objective functions and metrics that balance quality, cost, access, and member experience.
• Evaluate system performance via experiments and refine logic based on real-world outcomes.
• Implement machine learning, optimization, heuristics, or rules-based approaches to solve business problems.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy scalable, interpretable, and resilient production systems.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (unable to sponsor employment visas).
• 2+ years of experience shipping data-driven algorithms to production.
• Strong applied problem-solving skills with the ability to define and improve performance metrics.
• Strong judgment in selecting between statistical models, heuristics, and algorithmic methods.
• Strong communication skills to synthesize complex ideas for technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Python, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, pandas, and XGBoost.
