What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
• Write clean, performant production-grade code and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Build internal tooling and automation to improve engineering efficiency and developer workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through technical guidance and coaching.
• Leverage and validate AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in and be located in Mexico.
• Ability to work effectively in modern AI-assisted engineering environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with ecommerce, subscription, billing, or fulfillment platforms.
• Knowledge of React or modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
• Experience building AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, or agent-based workflows.
• Skill in infrastructure automation and developer tooling.
