What you will do

• Architect and develop core visualization components and frameworks for the next-gen Tableau product, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
• Optimize large-scale data rendering using Canvas and WebGL to ensure smooth interactivity and real-time updates.
• Collaborate with UX designers and backend engineers to implement intuitive and visually compelling analytics solutions.
• Design efficient APIs and data-fetching strategies to maximize visualization performance and responsiveness.
• Integrate emerging AI technologies, including LLMs and agent frameworks, to build intelligence experiences for business users.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practices, including automated testing and continuous integration.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience building enterprise-grade distributed systems at scale.
• Strong computer science foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience with SQL, relational schema design, and RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in modern web standards, including HTML5, CSS/SASS, and Web Components (Shadow DOM, Custom Elements).
• Experience orchestrating LLMs and AI services using OpenAI APIs, LangChain, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BI platforms (Tableau) or VizQL concepts.
• Experience with modern Data Lakes and Warehousing providers such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Deep experience in JavaScript rendering frameworks (Canvas, WebGL, SVG).
• Knowledge of AI reliability practices, including prompt testing, hallucination mitigation, and observability.
