Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Warren, MI or Sunnyvale, CA (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

Salary: $125,200 – $192,700

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable Python and Robot Framework-based automation solutions at the enterprise level.
• Lead automation initiatives specifically targeting automotive serial data related needs.
• Guide the team in developing Python libraries that integrate into a global automation ecosystem.
• Act as a technical mentor, providing training and code reviews to ensure high development standards.
• Collaborate with various business units to translate customer requirements into automated testing tools.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement and iteration planning.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise in test automation development using multiple open-source tools.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future immigration sponsorship (e.g., no H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of vehicle on-board communication, automotive serial data protocols, and electrical architecture.
• Experience developing on the Robot Framework.
• 3+ years of specific experience in the design and maintenance of automated test frameworks.
• Advanced degree in engineering or management/leadership.
• Prior experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development team.
